Với vẻ ngoài bắt mắt được tạo nên từ những hạt kỷ tử màu đỏ rực rỡ, thêm những bông quế hoa li ti màu vàng với mùi hương thơm ngát, miếng thạch giòn dai ngọt thanh, ăn đến đâu mát lạnh đến đó, rất phù hợp cho những ngày thời tiết nóng nực bức bối.
Rửa 30gr kỷ tử với nước cho sạch bụi và loại bỏ những hạt hư. Cho 15gr hoa quế vào bình hoặc cốc, chế vào 250ml nước sôi, khuấy đều rồi ủ trà 10 phút.
Bắc lên bếp một chiếc nồi lớn, thêm vào 1 lít nước, 30gr gelatin, 300gr đường phèn, mở bếp, khuấy đều cho gelatin và đường phèn hòa tan. Khi nước nóng bốc khói thì cho lần lượt kỷ tử đã rửa sạch và trà hoa quế vừa ủ vào nồi, khuấy đều. Đun cho hỗn hợp sôi bùng lên thì tắt bếp, múc hỗn hợp ra khuôn, để nguội thì cho vào tủ lạnh đợi đến khi thạch đông (khoảng 2 tiếng trong ngăn mát).
Sau khi thạch đông và đủ lạnh thì bạn lấy ra thưởng thức thôi. Đây là món tráng miệng được tương truyền là món ăn yêu thích của các cung tần mỹ nữ trong hoàng cung Trung Hoa ngày xưa, có tác dụng dưỡng nhan, thanh nhiệt giải độc cho cơ thể. Miếng thạch được làm ra thơm ngát mùi hoa quế, thêm kỷ tử ngọt ngọt giòn dai, dùng uống với trà nóng rất thích hợp.
