Vải bóc vỏ, dùng dao nhọn tách lấy cùi vải, bỏ hạt. Tôm rửa sạch, bóc vỏ, bỏ đầu và đuôi rồi rạch bỏ chỉ đen trên lưng tôm.
Tiếp theo, băm nhuyễn tôm, ướp với 1 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm, 1/2 muỗng cà phê muối, 1 muỗng cà phê rượu trắng khoảng 10 phút. Sau đó, nhồi tôm vào bên trong vải.
Xếp vải nhồi tôm vào đĩa, cho vào xửng hấp, đậy kín nắp, hấp khoảng 6-8 phút là được.
Hòa tan 1 muỗng canh bột bắp với 1/3 chén nước, cho vào chảo. Thêm 1/2 muỗng cà phê muối, 1 muỗng cà phê rượu trắng, 1 muỗng cà phê đường trắng vào, khuấy đều khoảng 2 phút.
Cho món ăn ra đĩa, trang trí thêm hành lá nếu thích! Rưới đều hỗn hợp bột bắp lên món ăn và ăn cùng với cơm nè.
